TOURISTIC OFFER

The tourist attractions of the Department of Madre de Dios are all of a natural nature, as there are no population centers of great interest in the area. In relation to other jungle areas of Perú, Madre de Dios offers better communication possibilities and easier access to visit able areas through the city of Puerto Maldonado.

They are the visits to its virgin forests, the sighting of wild fauna, the practice of ecotourism and the tours of the different rivers that cross its territory, especially the Madre de Dios River and the Tambopata River, the great tourist resources that this  Department treasures.

Among the places of interest in Madre de Dios, not all of them are accessible to tourism, are:

  • Lake Sandoval
  • Lake Valencia
  • Tambopata-Candamo Reserved Zone
  • Bahuaja-Soneme National Park
