DEPARTAMENT OF LIMA

MAIN TOURISTIC ATTRACTIONS 

Location: The Department of Lima is located in the central-western zone of Perú. Its limits are: The Pacific Ocean in the west, the Departments of Huanuco, Pasco and Junín in the east, Ica and Huancavelica in the south and Ancash in the north.
Climate: The climate in this area of the Pacific presents two very marked seasons, one in summer and the other in winter. Summer, between December and March is sunny but with frequent fog and temperatures that can reach 30 °C. Winter from May to September, is very humid, with an average temperature of 18°C and a persistent coastal fog or garua. The rains are almost non-existent.
Area: 33.820 square kilometers.
Capital: Lima. It extends to the edge of the coastal desert, in the center of the arid Peruvian coast.
